Mark Sheldon has been a Software Developer since 1985, specializing in Internet applications since 1996. He began working with the Microsoft .NET Framework in mid-2001 and adopted it as his primary development platform upon the release of version 1.0. Over the years, he has served as the sole or lead developer for a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from government agencies and corporate entities to small businesses.
His recent work focuses on cloud-based systems for organizations with international user bases. He continues to manage critical systems for government agencies, including the California Department of Social Services. Previously, Mark served as Chief Programmer for National Ed Online, where he supported clients such as Applied Weather Technology, Common Sense Media, CPS HR Consulting, SIBA, The Texas Education Agency, The Virginia Department of Education, and WestEd. He also held the position of Chief Technology Officer for CE3000.com.
For over two decades, Mark served as the sole developer for the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education's Accreditation Management System. He also developed the organization’s Continuing Education Tracking and Reporting Mobile App, which won an EMS World Innovation Award. His core technical expertise encompasses the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and Web Forms, as well as SQL Server Database Programming, Web Services, and IIS. Mark is also skilled in technical specifications development, research and development, policy planning, contingency planning, and project leadership.
